The Real Truth About Manifestations
If you’ve spent any time in the manifestation space, you’ve probably heard some version of this advice: stay positive, raise your vibration, match the energy of what you want to attract. And honestly? There’s truth in that. But after years of doing this work — both on myself and with my clients — I’ve come to realize that positivity alone is not the engine driving your manifestations. The truth is your beliefs are more powerful than I’ve given credit, and probably you..
This isn’t a small distinction. It’s everything.
The Shift I Had to Make
For a long time, I operated under the assumption that if I just kept my energy high and my mindset positive, the right opportunities, clients, and abundance would follow. And sometimes they did. But, I also noticed something uncomfortable: there were people out there that were not particularly positive, not particularly kind, who seemed to attract success effortlessly. Power, money, influence. How does that work if positivity is the key?
The answer, when I really sat with it, was beliefs.
Those people believed — deeply, unwaveringly — that they were untouchable. That success was theirs by right and that doors would open for them, and so they did. Now, I want to be clear: I’m not endorsing that kind of energy, because, unfortunately, corruption and manipulation may bring results, but they also bring an emptiness that no amount of money or power can fill, which is an insatiable hunger for validation that never quite satisfies and that’s its own kind of prison.
But the mechanism, is real. And it works just as powerfully for good. You can get my memoir Manifesting Me: A Story of Rebellion and Redemption here on this site. https://wellnessgardentoolshed.com/product/manifesting-me/

The Truth About Beliefs
Here’s something I want you to really sit with: a belief is not a fact. A belief is simply a thought you’ve had so many times, for so long, that you’ve decided it must be true.
That’s it. That’s all it is.
Which means the beliefs that are quietly running your life right now — the ones whispering that you’re not ready, that money is hard to come by, that people like you don’t get to have that kind of success — those aren’t truth. They’re just very old, very practiced thoughts.
And here’s where it gets interesting: your energy follows your beliefs. Not the other way around. You can try to force positivity all day long, but if underneath that smile you believe you don’t deserve abundance, your energy will reflect the belief, not the performance.
Life doesn’t respond to what you say you want. It responds to what you actually believe you deserve.
Where These Beliefs Come From

Most of our core beliefs were formed before we even had the ability to question them. They came from our homes, our families, our communities, our churches, our schools. They came from watching how the adults around us related to money, to success, to worthiness.
If you grew up in a household where money was always tight, where success felt out of reach, where playing small was safer than standing out — you absorbed those messages. They became the water you swam in. And now, years later, they’re still shaping what you think is possible for you.
This is not about blame. Your family did the best they could with what they had. But awareness is everything. You cannot change what you cannot see.

How This Shows Up in Your Business
I work with entrepreneurs and women who are building something meaningful, and I see this pattern constantly. They have the talent. They have the vision. They’re doing all the right things on the surface. But somewhere underneath, a belief is quietly sabotaging their efforts. It is pretty apparent in the Gen X and Baby Boomer generations. As someone who is in the Gen X generation, I hear over and over again, how expensive everything is. Which leads to a very scarcity mindset and making people second guess their personal value. Prices aren’t going down in the years ahead. Here a few instances you may recall in your personal experiences.
- It might sound like:
- “I’m not an expert yet — who am I to charge for this?”
- “I have to work twice as hard as everyone else just to get noticed.”
- “Success like that is for other people, not someone like me.” “My friends say they don’t believe in this stuff.”
These aren’t strategy problems. The hardcore truth is they are a belief problems. And no amount of marketing, funnels, or social media tactics will override a belief system that’s working against you. Remember everything is energy and energy is everything. That includes the subatomic particle level. The place where thoughts and beliefs reside.
The Good News
Beliefs can be changed. That’s the part nobody tells you enough. I don’t know if it’s some secret that people want to keep to themselves or they don’t know how to articulate it. But the truth is neuroplasticity is proven by science and that’s empowering.
Because a belief is just a well-practiced thought, it means you can practice new ones. Neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to form new neural pathways — tells us that with repetition and intention, we can literally rewire the way we think. We can replace scarcity with abundance, unworthiness with confidence, fear with trust.
It is also very important to not let other’s beliefs influence your own. I’m not saying it’s easy, but it is a must in order to keep on the trajectory of success. And it is truly possible to change. That old saying “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” is inaccurate, unless you believe it to be true.
This is the work I do. Not just card readings, not just motivation — but helping you identify the beliefs that are running the show beneath the surface, and giving you the tools to shift them so your energy, your actions, and your outcomes finally start to align.
It’s not the events of our lives that shape us, but our beliefs as to what those events mean.
A Question to Sit With

For those that have been stuck and want real change, here’s a question I’d like you to ponder. What is one belief you’ve been carrying about money, success, or your own worthiness that you didn’t consciously choose — but has been shaping your results anyway?
You don’t have to answer that out loud. But sit with it. Because the moment you can name it, you’ve already begun to loosen its grip.
If this resonates with you and you’re ready to go deeper, I’d love to connect. This is exactly the work we do inside the Awakening Queen Course — identifying what’s blocking you and building the belief system that actually matches the life you’re meant to live.
Until next time,
Leah
